Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to sixth grade. This is a critical year for you and your
child. It is a year in which the parent must continue to play a major
role in ensuring that the child achieves success in all academic areas.
As a child matures, the parent must pay close attention to the changes
and outside influences that adolescents go through and understand
the affects this may have on them as a student. I believe in the
student, the teacher, and the parent working together to achieve
success. Everyone must have high expectations and believe success
can occur with hard work and determination. School supplies is a very
critical factor in ensuring that students are prepared, organized, and
aware of what they need to know. I hope you and your child find the
following school supply list useful in preparing for their education.
