Your task is to create a song, rap, poem, or skit that utilizes the Physics terms that we have
studied for the first quarter. You can take a song that is already out and make a parody of that
song or compose a new song/rap/poem or perform a skit (i.e. Bill Nye-esque)
Once you are done writing your song, you will then use WeVideo, Splice or any video
editing software at your disposal and create a presentation that best presents your literary
creation.
Your presentation will be graded on the following:
Content You are required to use at least 10 vocabulary words that are associated with
your groups chosen topic. You will receive one point toward the total grade on the rubric
for each word used.
Usage Remember, just because you have the words in your song, does not mean that
they are used correctly. Relate the terms to real life examples and definitions that help
you as well as your classmates retain the material better. You are required to submit a
written copy of your song/rap/poem prior to the presentation. The vocabulary must be
easily seen (i.e. highlighted, italicized, bolded). Note: Points will be deducted for
inappropriate words, double entendre, or innuendo.
Organization Make sure that when inputting your song that you spell check your
writing as well as focus on telling a story. Make it flow seamlessly so that it is interesting
to the viewer.
Creativity Lastly, but most importantly, have fun! Make your presentation appealing to
your viewers. There is a voice of caution, however. Do not get bogged down on making
the video pretty that you forget about your content. You may choose to be in your video
or not. If you choose not to be in your video and use pictures, songs, or video clips, make
sure that proper citation is used for copyright purposes. If you do decide to be part of
your video, you are responsible for your own props, costumes, and taping. Note: points
will be deducted for inappropriate gestures, inadvisable actions and words, double
entendre, or innuendo in the final product. Do not include anything that would not
be permitted at school.
