Sit and Spy Vidal!!

The location where I was observing about my product was at a Food for Less in the cross
streets Winnetka and Saticoy. It was around 4:30 pm when I saw a man around his forties
approaching the beauty product shampoo. He was around five feet and 5 inches, not very tall. He
was wearing his work clothing, it looked as he was working at a restaurant, because I had the
logo of the places and a smell of smoke as he got closer to me. I couldnt really see his hair
because it was covered by a baseball cap. But I could see that he was going straight for the
shampoos because he was looking vigorously around before he got to that aisle. At first he had
passed the product and then he returned to it. He stood there looking around, looking at every
bottle.
He picked up one, a Garnier Fructis bottle, read the labels. Im guessing he didnt really
like it because he put it back in the shelves. He picked up the product from advertisement which
was Vidal Sassoon, a red large red bottle he read the labels. He knotted his head in a gesture of
saying yes or okay this is good. He put it back and looked at more shampoos.
I stood really close as if I was also looking at shampoos but I was taking notes on a piece
of paper, I believe that I looked normal because I was wearing glasses, kinda looked important,
as if I was studies the products too. I was wearing fake glasses, a white shirt, a dark blue blazer,
and formal shoes.

This man looked ay me and smiled. Right there and then I was thinking maybe I could
him some questions.
After a while of looking at different shampoos such as Dove, Suave, Pantene, Head and
Shoulders; this man picked up again the Vidal Sassoon again, opened the cap and smelled it. I
thought it was something weird that a man at that age would small a shampoo. He was in
between two the Dove and Vidal, but now he wasnt only looking at the bottles, but it looked like
he was comparing prices. He took about two minutes to make his decision, and finally decided
for the Vidal Sassoon.
There I decided that I was going to follow this man to ask him some questions. When he
was waiting in line, I stood next to him and asked him if I could ask him a question, he
responded with no hablo ingles so I asked my questions in Spanish. He was very friendly. So I
asked him directly if I could use this little interview in my school project and he said that he felt
important now.
After the interview, my observation was complete. This man by the name of Rosendo
Bauelos, age 56 had just come to Food for Less to buy shampoo, he didnt know at first what he
was going to get, but after seeing Vidal Shampoo he made his decision. The reason why he chose
Vidal was because in the 80 that brand used to come out a lot on TV, he claims it to be a good
brand, a recognizable brand. Also that not that long ago he walked into a Rite Aid a saw a poster
of Vidal Sassoon promoting hair dye, and he started looking for it again, because back in the 80s
that was the thing. His mother would use it his cousins would use it, and he used too. For many
years he thought it was discontinued because it wasnt very popular after the 2000s. another
factor into buying this product was that it as at an affordable price, it was cheaper than the other
brands, actually it was on special 2 for $5.

After this interview I had the go see it too, I did the same thing Mr. Bauelos did I
smelled it and I looked at the price, and most certainly it was cheaper, I bought two and I really
like it.
