Writing an informal letter

You must choose between two tasks: Story or


informal letter.

You must write about 100 words.

Its the most important part of the writing.

You are expected to

Organise your text well.

Variety of grammatical structures and vocabulary.

Link sentences. ( Connectors)

Suitable style. Informal if its a letter to a friend.

Avoid long sentences that make difficult to understand


the text.

How to do it?
}

Read the questions carefully and choose the task


your can do better.

Underline the following: who will read your text.


The key words.

Think about the topic and note down your ideas.

Choose your best ideas and organise them.

Decide what style you need to write in: formal or


informal.

Write your text using your ideas.

Make your handwriting clear.

Use as many different kinds of grammatical structures


and as much vocabulary as you can.

Check your answer, remember if you have written


fewer than 80 you will lose marks. Correct your
mistakes.
