BALANCING WITH PRISMS

{Both eyes must be equal}

3 BU OD
3 BD OS
- Add 3 clicks plus
- Ask pt if letters are equal.
IF THEY ARE NOT..
- Add plus to the one which is clearer
- If bottom is clearer, add 1 click plus to the BU (OD)
- If top is clearer, add 1 click plus to BD (OS)
Then, flip back the prisms, add 3 clicks up and refract sphere OU
