Activities
Structure:
- Go through essay writing handouts again and Guess What,
Prove It, So What.
- Thesis statements
- Familiarise yourself with examples of well written essays to
clarify the structure and sophistication your own essay should
emulate.
- Create an essay question that plausibly fits into your unit of
study and that could be used as a possible exam question for
your course.
- Write an introduction and submit for drafting
Research and referencing:
- Research your topics using the following search engines:
GOOGLE scholar, JSTOR, AUSLit and BloomsOnline.
- Familiarise yourself with the APA guide to referencing
- Continue drafting essay
Peer Assessment:
- Peer assessment read and provide feedback on each others
essay.
- Submit completed draft

Draft Feedback:
- Edit your essay using the feedback you have received on your
draft. Once this is done you should have a well written essay
that uses research and analysis that could easily be adapted
to the question you will receive for your exam.
