Just Another Day

A ringing sound struck like a saber piercing through a sheet of glass that was my
slumber. The sound of felines and canines meowing and barking filled the void
silence occupied during the long night. Distorted spherical blobs of air rose to the
upper half of the aquarium that sat flush to the smooth and specular surface of the
wall. My hand pressing onto the fluffed pillow case with the pillow within removed
from it. My body started to rise from a bedded position to a seated position as my
eyes twitched trying as I struggled to have to recalibrate my vision with the bright
rays of light shining in from the hairline openings from the curtains hung at the
opposite end of the room hiding the window panes beneath its shadow. I was in awe
at the shadows of my feet cast on the pearl white colored sheets wrapped around
my bed as the result of the light rays shining onto my limbs as though my mind was
still in its infancy.

It took me a considerable amount of time to gain consciousness from the long

slumber I was trapped in. After my mind returned to its original, functioning state, I
crawled out of bed reluctantly, slowly making my way to the stairway before letting
out a huge sigh as I dreaded the thought of walking down the multiple steps that
started all the way from the ground floor. I forced a glance at the elevator installed
at the far end of the room before dragging my attention back to the stairways after
deciding it would be consume more energy and time to walk all the way to the
opposite end of the floor.
