In an article in the January 2013 issue of the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, a collaborators name was
misspelled. In the listing of AAST Open Abdomen Study Group members on the article above, BEvert Erriksson, MD[
should have been credited as BEvert Erriksson, MD.[

CORRIGENDUM
Lactate clearance as a predictor of mortality in trauma patients: Corrigendum
In an article in the April 2013 issue of the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, a unit of measurement was
misreported. Specically, the units of measurement for lactate values should read Bmmol/mL[ instead of Bmg/dL[. The
authors note that while the units were mistaken, the reported absolute values are correct.
This correction been noted in the online text of the article, which is available at http://www.jtrauma.com. However,
please note that the tables and gures in which lactate levels are referenced as mg/dL have not been re-typeset. Therefore,
please read Bmmol/mL[ for Bmg/dL[ in Table 2, Table 3, Figure 2, and Figure 3.
