Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Ingredients Chicken- 500 gms


For marinade
Yogurt- 1 cup
Onion- 1 Lime
juice- 2tbsp
Garlic- 2 cloves
Ginger- 1 small piece
Green chillies- 2
Garam masala- 2tsp
Salt- as per taste
Red food colour- a few drops
For cooking Oil- 2-3tbsp
Procedure
1. Wash the chicken pieces and pat dry them with a kitchen towel.
2. Make slits on the pieces with a knife and let the skin remain.
3. Mix salt with the lime juice properly till it dissolves completely. Marinate the chicken pieces
with this lime juice properly. Make sure you put it into the slits too.
4. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Then take it out of the refrigerator.
5. Grind the onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, garam masala together in a mixer into a thick
paste.
6. Marinate the chicken pieces properly with this mixture, putting the masala into the slits.
7. Add the food colour and make sure all the pieces are covered completely with it.
8. Keep it back in the refrigerator for another 30-40 minutes.
9. Brush your pan with a little oil and place the marinated chicken pieces on it.
10. Cover and cook the chicken on one side for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
11. After that remove the lid and turn the chicken pieces to the other side and cook for another
10-15 minutes.
12. Once the chicken is completely cooked and turns tender, switch off the flame and serve. Your
tandoori chicken is ready to be served. Enjoy with green chutney and lemon wedges.
