The WEDGE Task Force is spotlighted in this new monthly report. The article, Bringing a
Task Force to Small Communities, sets the stage for the formation of area wide task
forces; WEDGE sets the bar high with multi-agency cooperation.
Chief Weitzel, Chairperson for WEDGE, is quick to steer much of the credit to the staff for
the excellent work they do. Working together, we are recognized as one of the best,
proudly states Chief Weitzel. The men and women of the WEDGE Task Force are
outstanding individuals and committed to solving complex criminal activity across
jurisdictional borders.
The four page article gives a broad overview of the operations of the WEDGE Task Force
and the tactics it utilizes in keeping the greater Cook County community a safe place to live.
