INTRODUCTION

In this project we are generating electrical power as non

conventional method by simply walking or running on the
footsteps.Non-conventional energy system is very essential
at this time to our nation.
In this project we are using mechanical piezoelectric
mechanism.
Nonconventional energy using footstep is converting
mechanical energy into electrical energy.
The word Piezoelectric is derived from the Greek piezein,
which means to squeeze or press, and piezo, which is Greek
for push.
Piezoelectricity is the electric charge that accumulates in
certain solid materials (such as crystals, certain ceramics,
and biological matter such as bone, DNA and various
proteins) in response to applied mechanical stress.
Piezoelectric Effect is the ability of certain materials to
generate an electric charge in response to applied
mechanical stress
