THE KHILAFAT COMMITEE:

During the war the muslis had extended maximum support to the
turks.when the war ended, the muslism demanded that justice should
be done to the falling muslim regime.
KHILAFAT CONFERENCE:
to put pressure on the government for the protection of the ottomon
empire the muslims organized themelves under the leadership of
hakim ajmal khan and dr m.a ansari and formed the khilafat
commitee.the ali brothers that is maulana muhamamd ali jauhar and
maulana shaukat ali were put in jnail .after setting free they went to
amristsar where khilafat conference, the congress and muslim league
held their sessions and a khilafat committee was formulated and
maulana johar was the secretary to conduct movement for the
safeguard of the institution of khilafat.
