Dear Colleague:
The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness cordially invites
you to participate in the Byte-ing the Hand That Feeds You Cyber Workshop on
Tuesday, November 10, 2015. The Workshop will take place at the Middlesex County
Fire Academy, 1001 Fire Academy Drive, Sayreville, New Jersey from 9:00 a.m. 3:00
p.m. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
This workshop is a holistic approach to cybersecurity management and will
provide organizations with the breadth and depth of cybersecurity frameworks necessary
to fundamentally strengthen information systems and the environments in which those
systems operate. This strategy is essential for senior leaders to make ongoing risk-based
decisions affecting their critical missions and business functions while protecting the
food supply chain and economy in New Jersey.
Participants will take part in a six-hour educational and interactive workshop to
examine a variety of cybersecurity issues. The workshop curriculum is built around a
series of vignettes describing different aspects of the failure to develop effective cyber
security policies, plans, and processes. Following each vignette, participants will be
presented with instructional material focusing on strategies and practices.
Please register by using the following web link and password:
https://njcybersecuritywksp.eventbrite.com, password NJCyber. Registration will
close on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
Should you have any questions, please contact Loretta Taylor at 609-584-4090 or

Sincerely,

Chris Rodriguez
Director
