To whom it may concern,

I will be volunteering at my church. I am going to help with the clothing bank, collecting
items for next year's back to school, and with the secretary Mrs. Daniels in her office. My
assignments are going to be helping organize papers in Mrs. Daniels office,organizing and
collecting school supplies and sorting out the clothes at the clothing bank. I will also attend any
days in which we are handing out clothes to families that need them.
The organization i'm volunteering for is Forest Hills Baptist church.It was established in
1917. It is a westside community church. They help everyone in the community by supplying
goods for those in need and Spiritual guidance also. They are an asset to the community because
the throw annual events like the back to school outreach at Helfrich Park. They are located on
2800 Hartmetz Avenue, Evansville,IN 47712
My mentor Is pastor Tyrone Edwards. He has been the pastor of the church since
November, 2004. I first met Tyrone when I started going to his church in 2006. He is dedicated to
his job and has compassion for everyone.
I hope that by doing this project, I gain the amount of compassion for others that my
pastor has. I hope that I really touch someones life that comes in to get clothes. Maybe i can
gain even more responsibility also. I'm really looking forward to volunteering at my church.
