Electric Currents

In static electricity, the charge particles dont really move in any

useful way.
Current electricity is the movement of charged particles, (electrons).
A battery or power source provides the energy to push electrons
along a (usually) metal conductor.
Electrons cannot travel through air.
In a circuit:

Both terminals of a battery must be connected via conductors.

There should be something in a circuit that provides some
resistance.
The circuit should be closed. (No gaps or breaks at all)

An electric current is like water flowing through pipes. The water
pump gives energy to the water..like a battery gives energy to
electrons in a circuit. A water meter will measure how much water
flows past a certain point in a second, just like an ammeter
measures how many electrons go past a certain point in a second.
Voltage is like the pressure in the pipes.
