The Lesson Structure: Activities

At the end of the reading the students will collect all of the
rhyming words off of Padlet and will work in pairs to
collaboratively create a creative rhyming poem using the
rhyming words.
The poem will consist of 12 lines. The students will use 6
different rhyming words from the book and come up with
their own words that rhyme.
Once the poem is complete the students will type the
poem in a Word Document.
Once the poem is in word form the students, with help of
the teacher the students will screenshot the poem and
download it to Educreation. The students will then be able
to record their voices reciting the poem.
By reading the poem and recording it the teacher can
assess the students on how well they are understanding
the rhyming words.

Monitor/Feedback
By using Padlet the teacher
will be able to see that the
students are coming up
with different rhyming
words. The teacher will then
have a small discussion
about the different rhyming
words with the students to
assure the students are
understanding rhyming
word and have paid
attention during the
readings; while doing this
the teacher will walk
around the room and help
any students that may need
help.

Students will use the

rhyming words they created
on Padlet to create a
rhyming poem with their
partner. The teacher will
walk around the room
assisting the students who
need help uploading their
document into Educreation

students are on task..

Self Evaluation of the Lesson
Overall the lesson went really well and all students were engaged. Throughout the discussions and the end
product of the poems it showed that the students understand different rhyming words and how to use
them. The students also excelled when using the technology. For next time I would work with Educreation
more with the students and teach them how to upload the word document and record their voices so they
dont get off task while waiting for me to assist them.
