and what is the maximum profit you will make.
9. Reflective Writing. Y2 PA Typecl
Did this project change the way you think about how math can be applied to the real world?
Write one paragraph stating what ideas changed and why. If this project did not change the
way you think, write how this project gave further evidence to support your existing opinion
about applying math, Be specific.
Math has never been a strong suit for me and that statement is especially true for word
problems. For some reason when you translate the math language into the English language it
becomes a whole new way to confuse me. I do however understand why they ate needed and
how useful they can be. All those years growing up and asking yourself (or even the teacher)
why do I need to know this
can be summed up in one statement; word problems are where we
find solutions for problems or dilemmas in your life. Word problems are used to solve real
world, perhaps even everyday problems. The problem for this project was to help reach financial
success and profit, I don't plan on owning a business but if I were to the concepts that were
worked on would be very useful, This type of problem could also be used in many other ways
such as figuring the individual price of an item in a bulk price sale to see if it really is cheaper.
Or perhaps having to divide or multiply a recipe. In short this project didn't change my opi
on this topic only because I have already learned how math is useful in the real world and how
having these skills will help you.
