Asciano Investing $100 Million in Sydney Container

Terminal
Entering the final stage of preparation for the 2016 operational launch of the Aguadulce
Multi-User Container Terminal (AMCT) at the Port of Buenaventura, Colombia, Sociedad
Puerto Industrial de Aguadulce S.A. (SPIA) a unit of International Container Terminal
Services, Inc. (ICTSI), recently received nine ship-to-shore cranes; four super post Panamax
quay cranes (QC) and five rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG).

Development of the AMCT has been divided into three phases.The first phase, which is
expected to be completed by April 2016, will provide an annual capacity of approximately
600,000 TEUs. First phase development includes a 600 meter berth length with a 14.5-meter
controlling depth, an 11-hectare container yard, a 250 meter coal bulk dock, conveyor beltequipped silos and a 21 kilometer access road; leading to the terminal. It also includes the
construction of warehouses and inspection areas, as well as the deployment of automation
and other state-of-the-art port technology.
In 2013, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) and PSA International Pte. Ltd
(of Singapore) entered into an agreement to jointly develop and operate the Aguadulce MultiUser Container Terminal (AMCT) and its ancillary facilities. When completed, the Greenfield
project is expected to become a powerful catalyst for Colombian trade.
