Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update for your
BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530 smartphone. The Curve 8530 software version 5.0.0.508
update includes numerous enhancements and improvements.

Enhancements:
Simplified lock-key function.
 You can now unlock your device keys without using a password,
unless a security timeout has occurred. Select settings by going to
Password in the Options menu.

Improvements:
Appearance.
 Improvements to the appearance of the icons when using the
Precision Zen theme.

 If you select No for Date/Time source, clicking Minutes or AM/PM in
the Time field no longer defaults to Hour.
