10/23/15 HARDD Summer Reflection My first year at Pasadena City College was a unique experience. It was a first step towards my future. There were obstacles that were difficult but I was able to push past them. The main obstacle was my travel time from my apartment, in Montclair, to PCC. What this showed me was how to manage my time. I have had to work my schedule to have morning classes and to devote the rest of the day to my studies. What helped me manage my time was the Time Management Workshop. Ive also had my family and friends to encourage me to move forward. When I need a place to study, I use to go to the TLC and the Library. Now, I either study in the Library or in the VRC with the Veterans Club. Whenever I needed help in classes, I had at least three friends to contact outside of class to assist me on an assignment. My study groups would take the opportunity to reserve a room in the Library on our spare time to study for one or two hours. I took the lead to help other students by taking notes and would explain them to my friends that were absent on a day to the best of my ability.
