what was wrong with me today? I must have hit my head pretty hard. ‘Um
not really. ’ I chuckled. The vampire next to the girl was unevenly smiling.
‘Hey it’s Jessica a right? I heard you were in hospital for a few days, I’m
guessing you’re feeling g better? ‘The girl had a certain tension in her voice
almost as if she was worried about me. ‘I’m fine, but I don’t know your
name?’ I replied curtly. ‘It’s Bella and this is Edward.’ They both smiled
fairly. ‘Jessica may we- I mean all three of us talk inside?’ Edward said in a
deep voice. I predicting this must have probably got something to do with
Victoria. I looked around. ‘Well...okay.’ I replied cautiously. I made my way
into Bella’s house aware of myself. ‘Take a seat Jessica.’ As they sat down so
did I. ‘Jessica I know you know that I’m not human we have quite a bit of
explaining to do as so do you.’ Edward seemed scared silly well actually
frightening. I mean he does look somewhere between alluring and scary
but I’m not saying he’s not absolutely stunning; he is a vampire after all.

‘Okay.’ I carried on the ‘y’ for two more seconds. ‘How did Victoria actually
attack?’ Bella suddenly added hesitantly. I remembered the vivid day to
when Victoria attacked. Also that Victoria was after Bella who now grew
paler. After all she was only human; I would always have the security of
magic. The memory sent shivers down my spine. ‘Well...I was in class when
suddenly the fire bell rang and the windows smashed. Victoria burst into
the room and then fought with two friends of mine who are wolves. It was
like when they were fighting, they were dancing. Victoria was getting
stronger so I decided to step in and use a very powerful spell that probably
was not the best idea.’ I admitted embarrassed. ‘Victoria’s after Bella and
now you. I think my father, Carlisle told me you predicted something that
may happen next?’ Edward interrogated. As I scanned Bella’s expression
she was scared silly. ‘I think if she is trying to attack Bella and now me. She
can’t possibly do it alone. Especially in Forks and La push where there are
more than one vampire and more than one wolf and now more than one
wizard. I’ve heard about some killings in Seattle. I think the killings there
have something to do with her. I can’t point my finger on it but am starting
to figure it out.’ I thought about the possible reasons why the killings have
something to do with Victoria. I gulped I think I now know why.
‘Newborns.’ I heard an echo with my voice, it was Bella’s. We both looked at
each other terrified.
‘Victoria’s building up a new family. Edward you said Newborns are blood
thirsty strong vampires who...who...’ It was clear Bella was freaking out.
‘Who are stronger and faster than an average vampire, although I don’t
think you could class any vampires as average. If Victoria’s brainwashing
these vampires...think of the outcome. She’ll send some of them to attack
Bella and now me.’ I breathed out. There are so any questions that need
answering. How will I know when Victoria will attack? What will she do?
What spells are compatible for her? And most of all how do I defeat her?
And protect the people around me? ‘Don’t worry my sisters ability is seeing
the future if she sees Victoria coming we will let you know. I gulped.
‘Jessica, with wizards, vampires and wolves I think we can overcome a
family of newborns.’ Two words kept ringing in my head from Edwards’s
voice. They were I think. I think. I think. I really wanted it to be I know but
that would be pushing it. ‘So it means now Victoria is building up an army
but now she’s in pain thanks to you.’

I hung out with Bella as Edward had to leave to go hunting after that and I
was trying to make the situation comfortable and it kind of did. She was a
fragile, shy but had a brave character and I could relate to her. I admired
her; she was human and kept up with the supernatural. ‘Do you know who
you really remind me of?’ She asked chewing on a sweet. ‘Who?’ I asked
back. ‘You’re like my best- well used to be friend Jacob but in the form of a
girl. I can also say you understand me more.’ I found that atrocious as I
though Jacob was the most understanding person I ever met. Wait...Jacob?
My heart thumped. ‘Are you okay?’ Bella questioned. ‘Yeah, why?’ I darted
back. ‘It’s just you smiled as soon as I said Jacob. ‘Hmm... That was strange
of me. Wait...’use to be best friend?’ I recalled. ‘Yes. Now he’s being a...idiot.’
What was making Bella hate Jacob so much? Did they have a relationship
before, not that it bothered me but still. Did Jacob date Bella? A strange
feeling burst through my body. For some reason I could not handle the
thought of Jacob with someone in a relationship. What was wrong with me?
