1. Tika the elephant sits under a tree. His leg hurts. He cannot
walk, so he cannot meet his cousin.
I cannot walk. What can I do. I shall ask my friends,
said Tika.
2. There is a bird in the tree.
The bird asks, Tika, why are you sitting under the
tree?
Tika says, My leg hurts. I cannot walk so I cannot
meet my cousin. What can I do?
The bird says, If my leg hurts, I can fly.
The bird flies away.
The spider asks, Tika, why are you sitting under the
tree?
Tika says, My leg hurts. I cannot walk so I cannot
meet my cousin.
The spider says, If my leg hurts, I can use my other
legs. I have eight legs.
4. There is a monkey in the tree.
The monkey asks, Tika, why are you sitting under the
tree?
Tika says, My leg hurts. I cannot walk so I cannot
meet my cousin.
The monkey says, If my legs hurts, I use my tail to
swing.
5. A frog hops towards Tika.
The frog asks, Tika, why are you sitting under the
tree?
Tika says, My leg hurts. I cannot walk so I cannot
meet my cousin.
The frog says, If my legs hurts, I can hop on one leg.
