The Greenville (SC) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to announce it is now
accepting applications for its annual college scholarship. This year we will award $1,000 to ten qualifying
high school seniors from the Greenville County School District. In addition, there will be one $1,000
scholarship awarded to a qualifying high school senior planning to major in music at an accredited college or
university.
We are asking your assistance in identifying students who personify a high level of commitment to
education. The scholarship criteria are as follows:
African-American Graduating Senior
Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 or greater
Financial Need
Acceptance and attendance at an accredited institution of higher education for the Fall of 2016 (fulltime registration is required)
The following supporting documents must accompany all applications:
1. Essay
2. Three current letters of recommendation
3. Current copy of official high school transcript (must contain the official school seal)
4. A recent 2x3 photograph (professional-type headshot only that must be clear and that could be used
for publication, with the applicants full name printed on the back of the photo and attached to
application)
