Children In Age 11-12 Years Old At Dental Polyclinic General Hospital Of Wahidin
Sudirohusodo 2011.
The purpose of research for knowing factors relating to occurrence of dental caries of
children in age of 11-12 years at Dental Polyclinic General Of South East Sulawesi Province
2011. Characteristic of research is analytic descriptive by using
Cross Sectional Study
approach. Research has been performed for one month from may to June 2011. Population of
research are all children 11-12 years old suffered from dental caries at Dental Polyclinic General
Hospital of Wahidin Sudirohusodo 2011 in amount 74 patients from January to February 2011.
Samples of research are 74 patients as respondens taken by using total sampling methods.
Result of research showed that value of chi Square count value of Chi Square X table (
4,367 > 3,841 ), means there is significant correlation between knowledge and occurrence of
dental caries at General Hospital of south east Sulawesi province 2011. Value of Chi Square
count > value of chi Square X table ( 4,251 > 3, 841 ), means there is significant correlation
between attitudes and occurrence of dental caries at General Hospital of Wahidin Sudirohusodo
2011. Value of chi Square X table ( 6,356 > 3,841 ), means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It
means there is significant correlation between attitudes and occurrence of dental caries at
General Hospital of south eats Sulawesi Province 2011.
Some suggestions for health Staffs of General Hospital Wahidin Sudirohusodo in order to
increase preventive efforts to patient individually or included family about occurrence of dental
caries and will be more better to clean teeth three times a day and avoid to consume food of high
glucose in order avoid from dental caries.
