Burke PresidenvCEO NBCUniversal 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY 10112 Dear Messrs. Roberts and Burke: ‘As Chairman of the Califomia Latino Legislative Caucus, I'm writing to express my deep concern and disappointment for your decision to allow Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump to serve as a guest host of Saturday Night Live on November 7, 2015 Saturday Night Live (SNL) may be a comedy show, but inviting a host that believes the largest ethnic group in the country consists of rapist and criminals with “lots of problems” is not only wrong, but it makes NBCUniversal complicit in demeaning an entire community. This is not a laughing matter, and on behalf of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, we sineerely hope you will reconsider your decision and stand with the diversity that has made our nation great and disinvite Mr. Trump from hosting SNL. Barlier this year, NBCUniversal demonstrated true leadership when they stood up against Mr. ‘Trump’s derogatory statements against immigrants and ended its business relationship with him, including cancelling the Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, as well as his participation in the highly rated The Apprentice. NBCUniversal made this decision despite these shows boosting high ratings, but it was the tight thing to do and we applauded your leadership, Assnblyneber is A Algjo Senator Ben Hucso Present ro Tem Kevin De La, ba Herande, Rl Lae Toy Mendota ‘un Calderon Nor Capos Citing Gari, Ear Gary Com Len Gonz, Roger Heroes, Paty Lp. oe Min ‘Haney Rav, Athy Rendon, Fri Rodis Ray Son el Sontag Suan Tans Eppa, Tony Pod State Capito, Room 2117 « Saccamento, CA 9S8I4 » Phone (916) 319-2030, 1g) 319-2130 Today, we ask you to once again do the right thing and not only disinvite Mr. Trump from hosting SIVL, but to publically renounce Mr. Trump’s hateful rhetoric against the Latino and immigrant communities.
