Dear Representative Jolly:
On behalf of the quarter of a million members of AMVETS (American
Veterans), a leader since 1944 in preserving the freedoms secured by
Americas armed forces and providing support for Veterans, Active Duty
military, the National Guard/Reserves their families and survivors, I heartily
offer our support for H.R. 3183, the Veterans Health Care Freedom Act.
This important piece of legislation, which puts the healthcare wants and needs
of veterans first and foremost, would permanently provide veterans with
healthcare options that will allow them to take charge of their healthcare,
while simultaneously removing wait-time and distance eligibility requirements.
These two provisions, the removal of wait-time and distance restrictions, truly
expand eligibility and are perhaps the most important since they are the
biggest roadblocks veterans need to overcome under the current so-called
Choice program.
This legislation proves that Rep. Jolly gets it. He appreciates all that our
veterans have done, he understands what they want when it comes to their
healthcare and with this legislation he offers a viable solution to an
unacceptable situation.

American Veterans.
