    The rate of flu outbreaks in these facilities has held steady over the last decade for the most
    part. However we have seen an increase in 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 both of which were
    milder winters. The current year has us trending in an upward direction which has caused some
    concern. This may be attributed to the new strain of H3N2 that we have not yet developed an
    effective vaccine for.
