Its the case study about the person who is boss in a firm as the name suggests Vivek has
communication problem. For further details the case study is illustrated as such Vivek has only four employees at his public relations firm-media front. According to his
employees , vivek is 47, is a brilliant guy who has a lot to learn in terms of being a better
communication . His communication style appears to be a regular source of conflict in his
firm . Vivek admits he has a problem. Im probabaly not as verbally reinforcing when
someone is doing a good job . I m a very self confident person . I dont need to be told I m
doing a good job- But there a people who do.Viveks employees had no problem listening of
things that he does that bother bother them . He doesnot meet deadlines ; he does a poor job
of communicating with clients ; he does not listen fully to employee ideas before dismissing
them; his voice tone is frequently condescending; and hes often quick to critize employees
and is stingy with praise.
This case study states that vivek being a boss is a poor communicator , he got weak
communication skills. In most of the cases boss is considered to be poor communicator.the
bosses have to be strict to their employees to get more from them and to keep them in
discipline the bosses should be verbally reinforcing to their employees. They should
motivate them when someone is doing a good job this gives employees the motivation and
they feel their preference in the company by reinforcing method. This gives the employees a
feel of importance in the firm and they will be more dedicated to their work . Vivek should
discuss his communication problem with his team members , so that they can give
suggestions of improving his communication. In the above case vivek should be more
welcoming to thir employees , so that they doesnot hasitate in sharing their problem and
ideas. Vivek should be polite to them.
