COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH :

The bricks when tested in accordance with the procedure


laid down shall have a minimum average compressive
strength for various classes as given in Table 2.
The
compressive strength of any individual brick tested shall not
fall below the minimum average compressive strength
specified for the corresponding class of brick by more than
20%. In case compressive strength of any individual brick
tested exceeds the upper limit specified in Table 2 for the
corresponding class of bricks, the same shall be limited to
upper limit of the class as specified in Table 2 for the
purpose of calculating the average compressive strength.

WATER ABSORPTION
The average water absorption of bricks when tested in
accordance with the procedure laid down in appendix shall
be not more than 20% be weight.

EFFLORESCENCE
The rating of efflorescence of bricks when tested in
accordance with the procedure laid down shall be not more
than moderate.
