Put notes to good use: study tool, compare with
classmates, share information, teach others, etc.

Right column typically in your own words
o Details/Expand on main points
o What you felt/your reaction
o Question about the main point
Always use point form, do not write full sentences
Ask yourself questions along the way
o What are the main points?
o Do I agree with that? How does it make me feel?
Omit unnecessary words
Leave extra space
