    GoldenRule.IpaintedwordsinblackallaroundmymasktoshowthethingsthatI
    eitherstillquestionordontbelievethatmyreligiontaughtmetogoagainst.Makingthis
    maskhashelpedshowmehowIstillfeltaboutmyreligion.

    MyfavoritequotefrommyessayisTomegrowingupasaCatholichasbeena
    smallpartofwhoIam.Iammuchmorethanjustmyreligion..Iamproudofthisquote
    becauseittellshowIfeelthatmyreligiondoesntplaysuchabigroleinwhoIamand
    thatIcanbesomethingmorethanmyreligion.Iamalsoproudofthisquotebecauseto
    meitshowsIcanbetolerantandacceptingofpeopleofotherreligions.

    Thebiggesttakeawayfromthisprojectisthethoughtofhowpeopleare
    socializedandhowbeingsocializedthroughsubcultures,targetoragentgroups,race,
    gender,orreligioncanplaysuchabigroleinyourlife.AtthebeginningoftheprojectI
    hadnoknowledgeofhowmanydifferentwaysthereweretobesocializedandhowit
    canaffectyouforyourwholelife.AttheendofthisprojectIhavebeenabletoaccept
    peoplefortheirdifferencesbecauseInowunderstandthatImaybedifferentbecauseof
    thewaythatIhavebeensocialized.

    ThebiggestconceptthatIwouldwanttosharewithmycommunitywouldbeto
    acknowledgethefactthattherearegroupslikeagentandtargetgroups.Ithinkthat
    targetgroupsshouldbeacknowledgedascontributingmembersofsocietyandtreated
    withtherespectthattheydeserve.Icanspreadthisconceptbymodelingtoleranceand
    acceptanceofmypeers.
