Corporate Presentation > BERTIN TECHNOLOGIES, created in 1956 is a company based in France (470 employees) with headquarter in Paris area with factory also based in France. wow. bertin > BERTIN TECHNOLOGIES belong to GROUPE CNIM (3500 employees) @ French Industrial Group which designs and produces turnkey industrial solutions with high technological content. www.cnim.com, > With about 60 years old background in industrial engineering, BERTIN designs, produces and commercializes STERILWAVE :an industrial equipment for healthcare waste management installed inside Hospital area. Manufacturing in France (Dieppe) Headquarter and commercial according to the highest French and depariment in Paris area European standards Il. STERILWAVE Technical Presentation: A range of product adapted to your need : STERILWAVE is an easy-to-use new generation Biohazardous waste (BHW) treatment system designed for direct use on waste-producing sites. The operating principle, based on microwave technology, requir more than a 440V power supply and produces no liquid effluents whatsoever. Sterilwave decontaminates all solid & liquid waste, including sharp and pointed surgical equipment. waw.steriiwave.com / www.Bertin.com, ‘STERILWAVE SW440 and SW250 : A range of product optimize the Return On Investment. ‘A specific configuration can be adapted to be suitable to Service Provider. ble to each hospital size in order to bertin Page 4it7 ‘sdenmanath rong atu Teenage Rear acted ans wot pr wi goamsan eB Toohlxos SW440 : Capacity of 440L / cycle ‘$W250 : Capacity of 250 L / cycle VY STERILWAVE equipment reaches all regulatory standards according to sterilization efficiency requirement (STAATT Ill) and has been tested by the Pasteur Institute and validated under the supervision of the French Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment ~ French norm NFX 30-503 known as one of the strictest worldwide, The device is Made in France, has the CE Certificate(European Community). BERTIN TECHNOLOGIES is certified ISO 9001 - 2008. Y The process and concept based on microwave technology with pre-shredding is recognized and recommended has one of the most efficient solution for onsite ‘management by the World Health Organization. ¥ After being very thin grinded and heated up by microwave, final waste are dry & inert and can be managed as regular municipal waste. The Grinding and the sterilization are in the same vessel ¥ STERILWAVE is approved and recommended by numerous International Institutions and Organizations 2s an efficient system reaching all environmental requirement and without any environment impact or liquid effluent rejection. bertin Page 8117 hs ost te prope Bre Tea. eat sad repodiedar dent inet Mops samssi Darin Tee 11.1. Process Description 11.1.1, First Step: Weighting / Loading ‘An electronic weighting system calculate and record the weight of the waste going to be proceed in order to track all operations of the process. For the SW440 : Loading can be made > Dropping the waste bags manually. > Automatic with a container lift option) For the SW250 , loading is made manually (loading height : 130 om) ‘SW440 automatic loading ‘W250 manual loading 1.4.2. Second step : Grinding ‘After closing the safety door of the vessel, the operator launch the automatic process. All kind of healthcare waste (solid, soft, cutting, performant, glass, plastic, bandage, dialysis...). Very thin grinding by rotating blades up to 1500 RPM during 5 to 7 min. The temperature is rising up to 70°C with the friction of the blades with a volume reduction of the waste up to 85%. Waste are very thin and unrecognizable. Third step : Heating up by microwaves Waste are exposed to a temperature over 100 °C by HF generator ( micro-wave), and maintained at this temperature during 20 min in order to sterilize the waste “The process and the results have been tested by Pasteur Institute and IRM under the ‘supervision of the French Ministry of Health to validate the sterilization efficiency of the Sterilwave device (according to the norm NFX-30503 and intemational recommendation regarding alternative technologies STAATT). The Results are a Microbial inactivation over 8log10. Traceability / Operations tracking The entire STERILWAVE process is controlled by a PLC. The Software monitor manages the waste treatment cycle , assuring all time and temperature parameters required for treatment , and the safety of systems The system ensure a full racking of each cycles. > Printed ticket after each cycle > A daily record with all operations done can be collected with a SD memory card. > STERILWAVE can be connected through an IP address to track from a distance the production and the maintenance operations. > The software language is customisable up to the end-user preference. The Healthcare Waste Management device STERILWAVE reach the international requirements and regulatory standards regarding alternative solution to incineration STAATT).
