Case study research can be used to draw either general conclusion or

specific conclusion ( for a specific case based on historical events)
Also used in education to enable students to offer solution for imaginary
cases based on their experience or applying theoretical models.
Exploratory Descriptive Explanatory
An important advantage with case study research .1s the opportunity for
holistic view of a process:

Criticism

Case studies lack statistical reliability and validity.

Case studies can be used to generate hypotheses but not to test them.

Generalizations cannot be made on the basis of case studies.
