Q.1. Using the Nodal analysis method, calculate the voltages at nodes V1 and V2 in figure 1
and calculate the current in the 10 ohm resistor present between the nodes V1 and V2. [6]
Q.2. Determine the current through 10 ohm resistor in figure 1 using Thevenins theorm.

Q.4. A coil takes a current of 1A from a 15V D.C supply. When connected to a 220V, 50 Hz
supply the current is 10A. Calculate the resistance, impedance, inductive reactance and
inductance of the coil.

Q.5. Find the average power absorbed by capacitor, inductor and resistor in the circuit shown
in the figure 3. Also calculate the average power supplied by each source.

(a)
The initial charging current of the 1F capacitor when the switch is closed at t=0.

Derive the expression for the voltage across the capacitor as a function of time.

seconds.
