A Silent Protest in Cleveland

As many readers of this paper know well, the town of Cleveland had its share of problems in the past
year. Meeting after meeting the citizens have been ignored and refused answers to many of the
questions that they have posed to the Cleveland Town Council. The attendees of the meetings deserve
much more than being degraded and ignored by the council. This week’s meeting was much different;
almost eerily reminiscent of times past when no one attended these meetings. The absence of citizens
represented a silent protest of the actions of the town council. The emptiness of the Town Hall on
March 16, 2010, shows the continued unity of the people of Cleveland for truth and transparency.

RetakeCleveland is strong, prepared, and more united than ever. We will continue with our duties as
citizens of this nation and state to hold our government officials accountable. Quoting President Thomas
Jefferson, "Let common sense and common honesty have fair play, and they will soon set things to
rights." What happened to common sense and honesty?
