Law passed in Texas
that prohibits the use
of tobacco products.
The great state of Texas has finally put an
end to all uses of tobacco products entirely.
Heath Lungman introduced the legislature to ban
cigarettes and other tobacco products. The
Conference Committee came to a quick
agreement that this law should be passed and it
was signed by President Obama himself. The
goal of passing this law was to reduce illness,
disability, and death exposure from the use of
tobacco products. Cigarettes and other tobacco
products have taken approximately 443,000 lives.
Not just of those who choose to smoke, and also
those who are just breathing in smoke from
someone elses choices, said Longman. He
stated that no good use comes out of tobacco
use, it only causes cancer, lung disease, heart
disease, affects the lives of infants, and much
more. It is about time that this law has been
passed to make Texas a healthier and happier
state. Texas should be a place that people feel
safe and the first step to that was passing the
law. Hopefully this will be the start of a trend and
other states will follow Texas and ban cigarettes
in order to make this country and better place.
