Many times we're guilty of forgetting what we should remember and remembering what we should forget.
David was headed to the palace but seemed to be stuck in the sheep pen.
The palace is in our hearts but we're living in the pen...
God does a work in the pen that He can't do in the palace
God is in the process of preparing you for what He has already prepared for you.

It is a place of development of gifts and talents - he practiced & worked on his music in obscurity. (Don't rush the process
bcos you're learning something you'll need later)
It develops character
It qualifies faithfulness. It determines whether we rcv God's approval
L: Waiting time is Worth-it time
When God does stuff in His time, it is done with His provision, His approval and to His glory!
