The Princess and beans

There was once a prince who wanted to marry a princess, but not content but a
real princess. So he was dedicated to look for the world, but uselessly, since all
you had was their defective. There were princesses enough, but could never be
sure they really were: there was always something about them that not just be
okay. So he returned home full of feeling, because both wanted a real princess!
One night a terrible storm. Menudeaban lightning and thunder and rain poured
down this was awful! Suddenly someone knocked at the door of the city, and the
old king went to open it in person.
On the threshold there was a princess. But, good heavens, how you had with bad
weather and the rain! The water ran down from her hair and clothes, you will sneak
into her shoes and out again at the heels. Despite this, she insisted it was a real
and true princess.
Well, we'll know soon enough, he thought the old queen.
And without saying a word, he went to his room, took off all the bedclothes and put
a bean on the frame; then he puts twenty mattresses on the beans, and above
them, twenty cushions made with the softest feathers imaginable. There would
have to sleep all night the princess.
The next morning she was asked how she had slept.
Oh, terribly wrong! said the princess. I could hardly close my eyes all night. You
who knows what was in that bed! I lay on something so hard that I woke up with
bruises everywhere. It was just horrible!
Hearing this, everyone understood immediately that this was a real princess
because she had felt nothing less than the bean through the twenty mattresses
and twenty cushions. Only a princess could have such a delicate skin.
And so the prince married her, certain that his was a princess. And the bean was
sent to a museum where you can still see, unless someone stole it.
