Section of EDU320: 080 Lesson Topic: Error Correction Define critical factor (in your own words): Error correction is providing opportunities for students to make mistakes and providing positive quality feedback. Teachers must let students know that it is okay to make mistakes because it is all part of the learning process. Lesson Cycle Element: Independent Practice Objective of your portion of the lesson: Students will understand and build knowledge on the content being taught by reviewing important information while contributing within their groups. Selected Structure: RoundTable Rational for selection of structure: RoundTable is a structure that allows students to review and think about content while building knowledge. Assessment (how will you know participants learned the content): Students will be in groups and each table will get a sheet of paper containing a few questions about the topic. Group members will number themselves one through four. Students will get twenty seconds to look over and think about the questions. Then, they will take turns passing around the paper, each student answering one of the questions. Each student will have 30 seconds to write down an answer before passing the paper to the next person. If there is enough time, each group will be asked to share the answer to one of the questions with the rest of the class.
