Starting a Business Questionnaire
1. What specific problem does my product or service address?
My product addressees the problem of grill brushes dripping extra food
drippings onto the floor after it is used to clean a grill.
2. What is your proof that the problem exist on a large enough scale to create a
business?
I have asked several people if this was a problem for them, and most said
yes and offered solutions.
3. Describe your ideal customer. (Age, race, color, geographical location,
interest, income level, etc.)
My ideal customer would be around 30-50 years old and of any race or skin
color because people grill all around the world and in different cultures. The
person would probably live in the very local Tampa area (Not really north or
south Tampa) since my business will be very small.
4. Who is your SPECIFIC target market? (Customer)
Middle-age adult men that grill a lot.
5. What are 2 assumptions you have made about the problem your company is
addressing?
It is stressful to deal with the problem and it is gross.
6. What are 3 assumptions you have made about your target market?
My target market has probably experienced this problem a lot, have come up
with solutions that dont work as well, and would like to see better solutions.
7. Are the assumptions in question 5 and 6 true/false? What is your evidence?
They are true because the people that I interviewed brought up these things
when I talked to them.
8. What will your product or service look like in detail?
It is a clear plastic cup with rubber bands attached with tape that are used to
connect the device to the brush
9. How do you plan to accomplish the task of starting this business by Oct. 30,
2015?
I will start making the products and try to ask more people about the
problem
10.What are 5 mission critical things that you need or must happen in order for
you to accomplish this task successfully?

I need the product to be built successfully, I need people to buy the product,
I need the product to work when people use it, I need people to keep coming
back and buying the product along with other people, and I need to make the
products better based on what people say about it.
