longevity. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and is
a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, a
member of the CFA Institute, the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of San Diego, the Estate
Planning Council of San Diego, North County Estate Planning Council and the Financial
Planning Association (FPA). She holds a Series 63 License and has also passed Series 3 and
Series 7 exams, as well as life and variable insurance exams. She is also a designated Trust
and Estate Practitioner (TEP), a designation granted by the international organization Society
of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
With over 30 years of experience, Holmlund brings a wealth of knowledge to
her industry. When asked why she decided to go into wealth management, Holmlund said:
"I was fascinated by the cross-section of intelligent investing, risk and tax efficiency, and
behavioral psychology. In addition, there was a large need being unmet by traditional money
managers - to consider the client holistically, provide appropriate risk and tax adjusted advice,
communicate it in a way that is understood, and coordinate with the clients other
professionals."
In 1981, she was hired by the prestigious wealth management firm Merrill Lynch, where her
career began to take shape. At Merrill Lynch she first specialized in restricted stock sales and

option execution for key officers of Silicon Valley Companies. Her success in that department
saw her move on to global money market securities, government securities, futures, and
derivative products coverage to large money managers on the West Coast.
As a leader in her field, Holmlund has received numerous awards and recognitions, including
being named one of "America's Most Honored Professionals-Top 1%" , "Best Personal
Wealth Manager" by San Diego Magazine for the past four years, and by Five-Star
Professional for seven years prior to that. In recent years, Candise has spent most of her time
on estate planning and trust administration along with more complex tax and generational
family issues. She also enjoys public speaking and serves as an expert on wealth planning
panels along with other topics. She noted:

In 1999, Holmlund joined Weatherly in Del Mar, California. There, she specializes in financial
and estate planning issues along with various analytical functions, including overseeing
Weatherlys covered call strategy, providing client stock option analysis, retirement planning,
performance attribution, asset allocation, and general investment analysis.
