It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Kristen Bissell. I had the pleasure of
working with Kristen, as her supervisor, at Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and
Procurement Activity (SUBMEPP) on the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. During a time of numerous
transitions with regards to loss of personnel and heavy workload, Kristen was an asset w ithin the
division. Her willingness to take on additional duties and superb work ethics were outstanding . She
could be depended on to consistently perform assignments independently and in a timely manner. She
was self-motivated to continually find ways to improve various processes/procedures and was
instrumental in organizing and improving various files and data bases to benefit productivity and time
efficiency. Her computer skills were outstanding and she was always willing to assist anyone when the
need arose .
Kristen's job required her to maintain a high level of confidentiality in compliance with numerous higher
level directives/regulations and Private Individual Information (PII) requirements. She consistently
provided full support within SUBMEPP and outside the activity at NAVSEA Headquarters. She regularly
met with internal and external counterparts from other Navy and Government agencies for the purpose
of gaining and sharing information . She consistently maintained and kept records up to date and
accurate. When this required research, analysis and data gathering to accomplish, Kristen did not
hesitate to provide the required documentation and follow through to ensure accuracy.
Kristen could always be counted on to take on any new tasks with enthusiasm and accuracy and
completing these tasks in a timely manner. Her detail to duty, combined with her comp uter skills,
makes her an asset to any organization that is fortunate to have her.
