the rhythms

first: remember

how they sound,

then aim for the same sense of timing as you play the notes.

Exercise 1.6
'Frere Jacques', an old French song. otice how the right hand moves up a step in
bar 5 by changing to 4th on G, soyou have a stretch from E back to thumb on C. The
left hand is one step higher than in Middle C position, so thumb plays D instead of
Middle C.
