PATERN OF BACTERIA AND SENSITIVITY TO ANTIBOTIC

AT ACUTE OTITIS MEDIA PATIENT IN DR. M HAULUSSY HOSPITAL

AMBON
IN 2012

ABSTRACT
Acute Otitis Media is an acute inflammation of the middle ear that lasted
less than three weeks. National Survey of Sight and Hearing Senses Health in
1994-1996 suggested that the morbidity of Ear, Nose and Throat in Indonesia
was 38.6% with a high morbidity prevalence in the case of ear and hearing
disorders, amounting to 18.5 % and the prevalencein of chronic suppurative
otitis media between 2.10 to 5.20%. This study aimed to determine the type and
sensitivity bacteria to antibiotics in patients with Acute Otitis Media in hospitals
dr.M. Haulussy Ambon period 1 July to 31 July 2012. This was is a kualitative
study, sample were all new patients with Acute Otitis Media in dr. M. Haulussy
Hospital in the period of 1 July to 31 July 2012, who meet the inclusion and
exclusion criteria. Staphlococcus putrafaciens aureus (18,18%) and
Pseudomonas putrafaciens (18,18) were the most commonly found bacteriasare
bacteria most commonly found, followed by Escherichia Colli (13.63%),
Pseudomonas alcalifaciens (9.09%), and Seratia Marcecens, momocytogenes
Listeria, Proteus vulgaris, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klabsiella pneumonia,
Citobacter divertus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Kurthia, Privensia alcalifaciens
4.54% respectively. Sensivity test to the most sensitive antibiotic was
ciprofloxacin (13.81%), followed by amikacin, gentamicin, and norfloxacin
respectively (13.51%), cefotaxime, kanamicin, sulfonamides each (7.89%).
