Starting business is set to be more difficult due to the instability of the environment
and more regulations, however those more regulations gets the rank of protecting
minority investors to be better by far from the previous year rank.
Although it was noticeable that taxing is higher than the previous report that makes
doing business in Egypt less profitable than before.
Electricity was having bad times to be distributed thus makes many industries to
get out of market and it also grabs the rank down by not that far, which neutralized
the good effect of other ranked up factors.
If you are looking to get credit to start your business, it is more difficult to do so
than many other countries in the region.
Trading across borders is better ranked other than last report, however it really goes
for getting out of Egypt borders, not getting your products inside, it is easier to
export than to import, the new taxes also affects import fees and customs, that is
now based on the preset of original prices not the genuine one reported by invoices
and trading papers.
And finally, it is not that difficult to do business in Egypt however you should
consider all factors especially if you are a new investor, but whoever you are in the

game, the environment in Egypt will looks after your business life especially if you
are a small investor.
