Kevin Rudd Apology

On February 13th 2008 Kevin Rudd decided to stand up and make a speech on
behalf of the Australian government and white people. His speech stated that he
was sorry for those who were mistreated in the stolen generation, he stated The
time has now come for the nation to turn a new page in Australias history by
righting the wrongs of the past and so moving forward with confidence to the
future. I think that Kevin Rudds decision to apologise was a good choice as he
showed the people in the stolen generation and the people who were affected by
the stolen generation that we are sorry for how we treated them and that we
want to make amends. I think that Kevin Rudd was right to make a statement to
the people about the stolen generation and reconcile.
