Flaw detecting system The flaw detecting system shall be the pulse echo 9 technique using a single crystal normal probe (hereafier referred to as th mal probe") and a double crystal normal probe. Namely,.-\\. taking the height equal to 50 % of the graticule as the reference line DM, the — level 6 dB higher shall be taken as reference line DH, the level 6 dB lower as reference line DL (see Fig. 1). Sensitivity determining test block for double crystal normal probe 1. Scope This Annex specifies the sensitivity determining test block for double exystal probe. 2, Material ‘The material used shall be the rolled steels specified in JIS = G 3103 or JIS G 3106, or the hot-rolled stainless steel sheet or plate specifieg JIS G 4304. 3. Shape (1) Finishing surface . The surface of the test block shall be furnished equ; to or more the surface conditions of the test material.
