The diagrams below contain information regarding how the youth listened to

music over one month in Tokyo, Japan, and whether they preferred live or
recorded music.
The most striking feature is that males were more interested in music than their
female counterparts except for listening to CDs (19% and 22% respectively). The
highest figure was recorded by boys at 79% who were interested in MP3-players,
while the biggest rate for girls was of 44% in live music compared to 60% for
boys. The difference between the figures of males and females was quite high
(13%) INTERNET.
Turning to the pie chart, the vast majority of the Japanese young population
preferred to listen to live music (70%). While 26% of the youth played recorded
music, the remaining 4% dont know their preference.
In conclusion, young females spent less time to listen to their favourite music
compared to their opposite sex.
