Water is turned into steam, which in turn drives

turbine generators to produce electricity.
ii- When water from the dam passes through, the
turbines spin. This creates electricity.
iii- They generate steam by using the heat of atomic
fission rather than by burning coal, oil, or gas.
iv- convert the sun's rays into electricity by exciting
electrons in silicon cells using the photons of light
from the sun.
vThe energy in the wind turns two or three
propeller-like blades around a rotor. The rotor is
connected to the main shaft, which spins a
generator to create electricity.
vi- The electrolyte is a chemical medium that allows
the flow of electrical charge between the cathode
and anode. When a device is connected to a
batterya light bulb or an electric circuit
chemical reactions occur on the electrodes that
create a flow of electrical energy to the device.
vii- A fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen to
produce electricity, heat, and water. Fuel cells are
often compared to batteries. Both convert
the energy produced by a chemical reaction into
usable electric power.

Part 2
The purpose of a transformer is to convert high
voltage electricity at watts to 110 watts to power
appliances such as tvs and other smaller
appliances and 220 for larger appliances such as
stoves.
