Electronic Diffusion

Hearths
Television had many hearths. It was simultaneously developed in
the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union,
and the United States.

The U.S. held a near monopoly.

Where and how it diffused

The area that electronics most diffused to is Europe. As more
and more Europeans owned TVs and other electronics, they had
more of a share in that field.
Once they had a start there, it grew quickly and is electronically
independent from the U.S.
By the late twentieth century more that half of countries still
didnt have tv. networks.

How has it been adapted?

People in other countries are starting to be able to use computers,
and other electronic devices.
People change the system according to what country you live in. It
is like McDonald's. It changes what it looks like, and how it is
used by the country.
People adapt to their surroundings. For example if they live in
mountainous areas they might have to have taller or smaller
phone poles, because of the weather and hills. They also might
just have a community computer place, because there isnt
enough money or resources to get everyone the technology
